Everything begins from children…

 

The history of fundamental human rights has been characterized by strong conflicts and some of those rights haven’t been respected yet all over the world.

Recognizing of Children Rights is a recent achievement, only in 1948 with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, it was stated that “…the child by reason of his physical and mental immaturity, needs special safeguards and care, including appropriate legal protection before as well as after birth.…”

After the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a Charter on children rights was thought.

On 20th November 1959 the Declaration on the rights of the child was agreed by UN General Assembly, but it wasn’t legally binding instruments.
1979 was declared International Year of the Child, because by that period a draft text was proposed for the Convention on the right of the child.
Final approval from United Nations Member States came when the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted the text of the convention on the right of the child after ten years, on 20th November 1989.
